Question / Help Getting random crashes during streams

Hi, I'm a full time streamer and I recently started using OBS Studio. I've been getting random crashes during my streams that can happen seemingly anytime, whether 30 min or 8 hours later. Sometimes I have to do a full comp restart to get the vid card cap drivers to work again. Attached are my crash dumps and logs.

Hey Tefty,

i got the same issue. OBS Studio crashes randomly during the stream. Idn whats the Problem on it, but hope i can push your Thread on top, that someone anwears.

I'm not on the new update for Win 10 so it doesn't apply. Thanks for the replies tho!

I've discovered that when screen resolution changes occur a crash can be triggered. Not sure if it's Elgato HD60 pro related. Sometimes a cold boot is required to get the cap card inputs working again.

Hi,

I've gone back from OBS 0.16.2 when using a HD60 as the stream will stop but it will then reconnect on its own accord after 30 seconds. Under 015.4 this doesn't happen. I'm on Win10 but not updated with 1607 build.

Not sure if this is HD60 related though.

The problem is likely the elgato software. Most of the time when I see this crash an elgato is in the source list.

Under what source list (source path) can i find the elgato or DH 60? Can I use the process then simply quit or do I have to watch something? cheers

Interesting .. any recommendations on a 60fps cap card that's bullet proof on Win 10?

Probably the current startech cards or a blackmagic brand one.
