Question / Help getting error message "OBS cannot be opened because of a problem" when opening

hi installed the mac download and getting the following error when tryin to open the app has anyone encountered this issue and know the way around it?
I am currently using Mac OS Sierra 10.12.6

"OBS cannot be opened because of a problem"
"Check with the developer to make sure OBS works with this version of macOS. You may need to reinstall the application. Be sure to install any available updates for the application and macOS."

Having the same issue and am currently running 10.12.6 as well. would love to know how you fixed it
