Question / Help Getting DV Cameras to Work in OBS Studio

Here's what I'm going to do. I have an Dell xps 1645 laptop. (I'm planing on upgrade, but that's another story). If I plug my Sony camcoder DSR-PS170 into my laptop, other apps recognize the device by name (ie: Adobe PP, Onlocation). OBS 21.1.2 doesn't even recognize the device. It seems to love the desktop capture. If I click on Device and choose Integrated Webcam, we're good. But I think it know there's another video device, but it doesn't seem to be able to communicate with it.

BTW, I'm a little new to this, Is there a way to resize that pop-up preview live screen with the red dots. Don't shot me for asking, please...
