Get rid of the black screen on my laptop, but now this...

I finally got the laptop Black screen of death to go away, but now I am having a strange resolution problem. Not to mention, in the screenshot provided, it still is not showing the desktop.

When I do auto-detect, the max resolution I can get is 1920x1080. But when I launch OBS, the resolution is 3840x2160, my actual desktop resolution. How can I change this so my resolutions match AND how can I set this up so it actually shows the desktop of my computer?


I am running a DELL XPS 15 9570

That's the problem though... There is no option for 3840x2160.

As I mentioned above, the max resolution I can get is 1920x1080 for some reason, but I don't know why. :(

you can type in every value you are funny with
but remember even higher you get even more CPU+GPU power the Construction requires
the dropdown only shows Examples of resolutions that working
related to the system basics

edit: but remember there exist reasons why the wished resolution is not avaible
