First thing I like to say is that I am love OBS. I have used others but I find OBS to be best for me, especially OBS studio and the new features that have been put in. But I do have a few questions about OBS Studio.
Audio:
Audio:
- Noise Gate Filter - Can we expect any changes to this in the near future? What I mean by it is there is not meter that allows you to accurately gauge where the Close and Open thresholds need to be set.
- Continuing with audio, can we expect to see audio setting saved individually for each scene? I have a BRB scene where I like to mute my mic and I like to be able to switch to that scene and it automatically mute my mic, and when i come off that scene, mic re-enabled.
- Not sure if this would be a plugin or something that could become standardize, but having an EQ built into OBS would be something I am sure a lot of people would appreciate and use. If your unsure of what I mean, take a look at this example: http://www.voxengo.com/product/marvelgeq/ or another example would be anything from here: http://www.voxengo.com/group/equalizer-plugins/ . Just a thought.
- Last one with the audio, will there be a filter that is put in to bring more functionality to the audio of mic input. What I mean is and I will use TS3 here for an example, but there is a "Remove background noise" on there, can we expect anything like that to be standardized on OBS studio?
- Under Sources, there is the ability to add "Media Source". When testing this out with a .mp4 that I have, I have noticed that once the video ends, it does not hide its source unless I switch scenes. So what i have found is I needed to add a few extra seconds to the end of the video and that gives me enough time to hit the hotkey for a second time to pretty give me the ability to play it again when I need to. But even then, it does get stuck on once and a while and can't be controlled until I restart OBS. It will hide the video, but not the audio, that's what I mean it gets stuck. It just continues to play the audio portion of the .mp4 but will hide the video and once done.. Not sure if it's just because its a .mp4 and may need to be converted into a .swf or another media source. (If I confused you on this, which I could have, I can do an example video.)
- With streaming, I use many apps at one time and I have that and everything else put on my right monitor, well, I am limited on space there and OBS studio is pretty wide, is there thoughts of having the ability to hide some things once set like "Scene Transitions". Once you have that set between the Scenes, I really don't see a reason why I need to continue seeing it and wonder if in the future, the ability to hide it. Heck, If I could align it so instead of being a single row, have a double row with 2 or 3 columns would be fine, (thinking basic web design here). I can deal with a little more height, but width is the major issue. (I know, I need a bigger monitor).
- In the mixer, I had noticed that my webcam audio source it shown. Thought muted, it is still shown. Will there be an option to hide source, even if present and not being used. I like to keep things somewhat organized as much as possible and this is nothing that is major and is highly needed, it's just more of an esthetics thing.
