Bug Report GC573 Not allowing 240fps input in OBS

I've owned this card for a few years, but it's still bugging me this still isn't supported. You can set the GC573 as a 240hz monitor, it outputs to the card fine, however inside of OBS it won't give you the option for 240fps input from the drop down menu. I can't find it anywhere in the .ini's to attempt to force it either.

According to a Avermedia rep you can get 240fps input from RECentral and it looks like you can. That, however, isn't what most of us stream/record from. Is this a bug with OBS or something else? This issue has been described by other people as well.

Anyone? Is there a better way to report bugs? A lot of people have GC573s and I assume everyone thinks they're inputting into OBS at 240fps, which would do things like reduce tearing, but it's not.

Opened a github bug report.

This is actually intentional because no streaming or online video service supports fps above 60.

Source and that's completely untrue. I streamed at 120fps on Twitch for about a year ('17-'18) while streaming Overwatch before going back to 60 with a different capture card. There has been since multiple people who have also done the same. Youtube also supports higher then that.

RECentral also supports 240fps input as well as output.

240fps input reduces tearing, just the same as 240hz on your monitor. Not even related to output to ingest servers or a file.

OBS is also used for local recordings and once again if the source does not input higher then 60fps, it doesn't matter what the file is being recorded at.

Ok, so I've been misreading things a bit here.

The problem you're having actually stems from the drivers for the card not offering 240fps to obs.
