Hello,

whenever I try to record my videos they look choppy or not sharp in comparison to other videos (I was testing it on Minecraft and then compared with other videos which looked way nicer than mine). I am not a pro at OBS I only know the basic stuff.
So I want to Record at 1080p 60 FPS (I have a 1440p monitor). And here are my specs:

-Intel i5-8500
-GTX 1660 Ti
-32gb RAM Corsair 2x16 3200Mhz
-Acer Predator XB271 (1440p, G-Sync, 165Hz monitor)
-Samsung 860 EVO (SSD where Windows installed)
-Toshiba P300 2TB (where everything else installed)

I hope you can give me some advise on how to increase my video quality and by quality I don't mean the picture quality because the colours and stuff looks good in my recordings but the performance because although I record on 60 FPS it feels more like 35 FPS or something like that.

Ive got the exact same problem i have tried all older drivers that my card supports ive tried " obs studio , streamlabs obs , streamelements obs , player.me , xsplit broadcaster " and the problem is exact sam on all off them no matter whether i use x264 or nvenc stream or local recordings are all messed up feels likes its randomly dropping to about 30 fps from 60 fps for about 10 - 20 secosnds then back to the 60 fps ,But when i use mirillis action streams and recordings are perfect .

Ryzen 5 2600x
16 gb hyperX fury ram
gtx 1060 3gb ver

Not seeing any indications in the logfile of performance problems or misconfiguration. Not sure what you're playing the recordings back with. The refresh rate of your monitor might be at issue, as if you are trying to record 60fps there can be issues if your display's refresh rate is not an even multiple of 60.

After reading your repply I watched my video once more and even uploaded to Youtube to see whether the video looks laggy because of the programm I run it with. Not a huge difference though when comparing Youtube and "Movies & TV", in fact almost noone but after watching the video now again it doesnt look that choppy anymore.
My video contains 1440p resolation and 60 FPS recording with 6000 Kbps Bitrate. Is 6000 maybe to less Bitrate for 1440p and thats why it does look so laggy?

Too low a bitrate for the selected resolution would result in compression artifacts, not stuttering.

But yes, 6000 would be considered low for 1440p60. It's not even particularly high for 1080p60.

If so then how much Bitrate do I need for each resolution?

If you're going for local recording in high quality for later uploading, 40000 would not be unusual.

If you don't need multitrack audio recording, it may be helpful to set OBS to simple output mode and choose Indistinguishable Quality, Large file size, and then adjust downwards as required. These presets will give good quality as long as your hardware is up to it.
