I have been using OBS as my sole source for streaming onto Twitch, and have now been simultaneously using OBS's recording feature so I can save a copy to upload onto YouTube. So far, it's been working great, and has resulted in videos that are a better quality than my Twitch streams. However, my most recent recording resulted in very choppy framerate for the gameplay - my webcam and all audio was not affected. I use the Elgato HD60 to stream PS4 games onto Twitch, and by now I have the hang of the process. But, yeah...no clue why my recording from earlier this week has choppy gameplay footage, when all the recordings before that one were fine. It's making me paranoid about my planned stream/recordings tonight and on the weekend. I hope it ends up just being a random fluke.
Sadly I can't provide any information about my computer/can't add a log file since I am not at home while I'm posting this. The only that was different from this recording versus the one before was I got a Blue Yeti Nano mic, so all of my USB ports on my laptop were being used. If the issue was my internet, affecting the YouTube upload, well, sorry, I can't get better speeds with my provider in my area. And if the issue was my laptop (as in, the GPU and stuff like that), well then...I'd have to buy a brand new laptop which would put all future projects on hold.
