game sound not coming through on OBS

Hi, I'm new to the forum someone mentioned it to me and suggested I try to find some help here. I set up a secondary Mic and have that working properly but I can't get the game sound to come up on Obs. it seems like it only works when someone is talking through the party chat cable, and they hear it through my headset. But if no one is talking they don't hear anything. new PS5 with WIndows OBS
any help would be appreciated.
