Question / Help Game records small in Monitor Capture

First, of all, I am completely new to using any kind of capture software and to OBS Multiplatform. Secondly, I use Monitor Capture for now. Game Capture was only recording a black screen, and I couldn't figure out how to fix that. Monitor Capture works, and for a while it was capturing the full screen game as it was being shown during gameplay. It looked exactly the same on preview & on the recorded file as it did as I was playing it. But somehow that changed and now the game window is smaller, with the rest of the monitor capture window in black, on both the preview within OBS and also the recorded file.

Let me take that back... it doesn't work on some games. I just started Skyrim, and it worked beautifully. Fallout 3 and DayZ are among the ones that I have issues with.

Hoping that all makes sense... any advice would be appreciated. Thanks!

Okay, welllll, nevermind, I figured it out. Figures once I give up and ask for help, something pops in my head and I try one more time, and it ends up working.

In case this issue sounds familiar to anyone, in my case it wasn't an OBS issue after all... although each game did work before and I swear I didn't make any changes to any of the games' settings, it turned out the resolution in each game's video options was set to a different value. Once I changed each one to 1920 x 1080, it fixed the issue.
