To start: I am primarily using SLOBS but had the issue with OBS as well.
Whenever I stream, my games have awful frame drops and stuttering, I have a 1080ti, an I7-6700k, 16GB of DDR3 ram (can't remember the speed), and an 850W power supply.
I've tried lowering bitrate, using NVENC new and old, streaming 1080p,720p, and 480p (all 60fps). Game capture, display capture. Fullscreen and Windowed Borderless. I have no clue what to try now.
I can tab out of game and then tab back in and there is no lag for about 2 seconds, then the frame drops start again. I also noticed when testing my stream stability, my bitrate was a little bit unstable.
I have consulted a two of my friends who stream as a hobby and neither of them had any clue as to why I'd be lagging so much.
The actual stream looks fine though, constant 60fps with no frame drops on the stream end. It is only visible to me.
