Question / Help Game Input (RetroArch) disappears when filters are applied

Hello All,

I am currently adding the RetroArch Emulator into my stream via the Game Input (Siphon) source in order to play NES and SNES games, etc.

This is working great but sometimes I'd like to brighten up the games by applying a color correction filter to this source. When I do so, however, the game input completely disappears. This happens even if the filter doesn't actually do anything; just the presence of any filter or crop etc will make the game disappear, and if I disable the filter it reappears.

Anyone have any thoughts as to what might be going on?

Thanks,
Keith

This is still in issue but I have some more findings:

If I switch the input type to of RetroArch Window Capture instead of Game Input I can properly add filters such as crop and color correction without making RetroArch disappear.

If I do this however there are a few downsides: a slight lag on graphical input from RetroArch (maybe half a second), and Window Capture seems to use an extra 10% of CPU as opposed to Game Capture out of the gate. Therefore it would be ideal if the Game Capture would be able to take filters instead.

Is there anyone here that can repro my scenario (using RetroArch via Game Input and seeing filters make it disappear - maybe this happens for all Game Input), and/or is there anything I can do to help assist in the resolution of this issue?

Thanks,
Keith

I was able to find someone else to repro this capturing with OpenEMU; so it is not RetroArch specific. Thus it appears there real issue is this: Game Capture input on mac OBS Studio does not work when filters are applied. What are the next steps to get this issue resolved? Thanks.
