Question / Help Game FPS drops streaming Xbox One with Elgato through OBS

I'm pretty new to OBS, just started using it last week. I've been trying to stream games from my Xbox through an Elgato game capture HD and OBS, and the video of my game always experiences big FPS drops, while the video of myself looks fine. Has anyone experienced this or heard of this before? I've been looking for solutions, but have yet to find anything that helps. Here are my PC specs if needed:
Windows 10-64 bit
8 GB of ram
i5-3570K CPU @ 3.4 GHz
EVGA GTX 970FTW
