Game Crashes, OBS still runs and i assume is streaming however i'm not

As the title reads basically
On a few occasions the game i'm streaming will crash, OBS will still run and is apparently streaming but when i look back onto my stream feed it comes up with the no capture screen and then the stream stops. All the while OBS is "streaming" i click stop and just says "stopping streaming"
Can't seem to find any information online anywhere
