Hey I have a laptop with these specs and I'm trying to record some minecraft gameplay with it.
i7 8750h (6 core 12 thread cpu)
gtx 1050 ti 4gb
16gb ram
I currently have this laptop hooked up to my 144hz monitor using a display port cable, using just the monitor screen with laptop screen off.
I don't exactly know if I can record minecraft at 120fps with my setup but I would assume so since I already get over 500fps in minecraft with the lowest settings, and without recording the game feels buttery smooth.
On a side note my cpu and gpu temps are fairly ok so I don't think its a throttling issue
cpu temp during gaming: 70-80 degrees celsius
gpu temp during gaming: 40-60 degrees celsius
However whenever I record I get quite bad stuttering in game, despite me still having over 400fps. Whats weird is that I have tried recording on Mirillis Action and surprisingly I don't have this issue. Gameplay is still smooth as well as the recordings. I really want to record using obs as it honestly has some great features but this frame stuttering is really putting me off.
