Question / Help Game Capture Screen black

when ever i go on Game capture the Preview is just black when i click properties it is still black. i Am using windows 10 but the log says im using win 7. i think the problem could be because im using win 10 but might not br. if i click record it only records the sound .

It could also be an issue with that GPU, which is known to perform extremely poorly with OBS.

Are you running any overlay programs, like FRAPS or Razer Synapse?

i do not have razer synapse or Fraps open but i went onto a game that is not from steam and in the properties preview of game capture i attached a non steam game and u can see the preview in the properties section but not the Actual preview.

Windows 10 includes a new version of Xbox app, that lets you record gameplay and which has its own overlay and shit. I wouldn't be surprised if it does cause issues with capturing. I'm currently trying to disable that feature for me, because it is causing flickering and other issues with certain games, aside from limiting framerate etc.
