I'm recently experiencing issues particularly with the latest OBS studio version where Game Capture just simply doesn't work at a framerate suitable enough for a qualiy stream.
I've read through logs, ran the livestream through R1CH, scoured the forums and net * played with nearly every setting imaginable to solve this issue.
I've recently moved back to an earlier version of OBS studio(13.1) so I can actually stream at 60 fps. and I have to use window Capture(which I know is heavier on resources), but it;'s the only solution I've found.)
Here's the Problem: Game capture consistently grabs at about 25-50 fps whereas Window capture is almost always 55-60 no matter what.
All other threads related to this issue seem to have systems that are struggling to capture at a high framerate anyway, so it hasn't been any help to me; because that simply just isn't the case for me.
I'm using Windows 10, which I've heard may have introduced new problems with recent updates in regards to OBS.
I've tried changing all games to Windows 8 compatibility, it doesn't really seem to make a difference.
Computer specs are 5930k, 980ti, 32g ram, sufficient cooling etc.
And I'm concerned primarily with the Game Capture of "Miscreated" on CryEngine (Evolve, also on cryengine suffers the same problems I've found).
So maybe there's some kind of compatibility issues of the current Game Capture method in OBS and CryEngine/UE4 titles. Perhaps having something to do with resource exclusivity these engines force.
I guess it's important to note that I've played with every encoding combination imaginable, FullScreen, Windowed, FullscreenWindowed, you name it. (and of course running as admin.)
Hopefully we can find a solution to this, or I'll just be stuck using legacy software or eventually just moving to a streaming PC.
Thanks for taking to time to read through this post, and I'll try to reply with any information I can provide to diagnose what may be the problem.
**Edit: Log was from the most recent extended stream, wasn't using Game Capture. Just included it anyway in case there's some symptoms in there.
