Question / Help Game capture expands on its own in OBS

So, I have a bit of a problem. I wanted to stream Star Wars Jedi Knight Dark Forces 2, an older DOS game from the 90s.

Bought it online from GOG.com, downloaded it and it worked, however, Alt-tab had been disabled by GOG because they felt it was needed due to instabilities in the game when you minimized the game.
This of course meant that I had no way of aligning the game capture or even go into OBS Studio to open it up at all.

Got in touch with GOG.com and they directed me to an unofficial patch which made me able to run the game in windowed mode through the use of the "-windowgui" command in the shortcut path.

But now a different problem emerges. I set up the source for the game capture and it works great. However, the intro, menus and the cutscenes are in one size in the preview window, and the gameplay is blown up into another, something which obviously is reflected in OBS. Intro, menus and custcenes seem to revert to 640x480 (or 800x600, whichever it is) while the gameplay is of another size and expands beyond my set background borders.

Is there any way to force the boundaries of the game capture source to remain in place at all time in OBS Studio and not expand on its own? On my main monitor, the game is stretched to fit my larger widescreen but doesn't seem to be warped, how that even works.
