Question / Help Game capture black screen?

I feel like I've tried everything. I've edited nvidia settings, changed power settings, run as admin, uninstalled and reinstalled, used windows 7 compatibility mode, restarted pc etc. I was using twitch studio successfully and out of nowhere it went to a black screen. I've not been able to get OBS game capture to work at all. I can use display mode but kinda hate it and would prefer not to, I don't wanna stream my whole screen
I am on a windows laptop
