I'm using OBS to record my Nintendo Switch and I have my headset plugged into my laptop's combo jack so I can use the microphone. However, when I listen to the game via OBS (WaveOut), the game audio is almost silent even when on max with maximum gain. I tried using a splitter to split my headset so I could plug the headphone jack into the capture card and the mic jack into my laptop, but my laptop won't recognise a mic jack since it's a combo port. Does anyone know why this happens or how else I could listen to the game through my headset whilst also using my microphone in OBS?

That should let you plug a microphone jack into the adapter, and then the adapter into the combo jack.

Thanks, but I already tried this. My laptop has a combo jack and when I plugged the microphone one into it it wasn't recognised.
