Game audio intermittently cutting in and out

Hello!

Here is an example of the issue: https://youtu.be/DCPb8UCUXBs

Please note that only game audio has the issue. Mic is always untouched by the issue.

I noticed when I ran the Log Analysis (https://obsproject.com/tools/analyzer?log_url=https://obsproject.com/logs/PohgSULLMiYzCQDY) of the Log (https://obsproject.com/logs/PohgSULLMiYzCQDY) of my most recent recording, I was told the following:

Warning Mismatched Sample Rates

At least one of your audio devices has a sample rate that doesn't match the rest. This can result in audio drift over time or sound distortion. Check your audio devices in Windows settings (both Playback and Recording) and ensure the Default Format (under Advanced) is consistent. 48000 Hz is recommended.
OBS Sample Rate: 48000 Hz
Speakers (Razer Leviathan V2 X): 48000 Hz
Line 1/2 (M-Audio M-Track Solo and Duo): 44100 Hz
[VIRTUAL_AUDIO_DEVICE_PROCESS_LOOPBACK]: 48000 Hz

And while I get that mismatched sample rates could be a problem, given that the mismatched sample is of the mic (which never has an audio problem), it seems like there may be some sort of other issue causing the game audio to cut in and out like it does (the issue happens on basically every recording at least once and it lasts almost exactly as long as I show in the video clip of the issue).

Should I "downgrade" everything to 44100 Hz even though my mic audio doesn't have a problem and my game audio and OBS audio are aligned at 48000 Hz?

Any other insights from the Log File?

Thank you!

Did you find a solution for this? I'm having the same issue with my Yeti mic stuck on 44100
I ended up posting a Reddit thread about the issue since this one (and my previous one here) wasn't gaining any traction. https://www.reddit.com/r/obs/s/b7iwfAWhJU

I haven't recorded since updating the settings so I don't know for sure if the issue is gone, but with help, I was ultimately able to get the sample rate of my mic aligned with everything else at 48000 Hz. So I am hopeful that it's fixed!

TL;DR of the thread:
-I had to use my mic recording interface's app (M-Audio M-Track Solo and Duo Control Panel, in my case) to change the mic's sample rate from 44100 Hz to 48000 Hz and, by extension, "unlock" 48000 Hz in Windows Sounds settings.

-After a lot of struggling, I realized that I needed to change to 48000 Hz in BOTH the Playback and Recording tabs of Windows Sounds settings. Originally I kept only adjusting the Playback tab and I kept throwing "mismatched sample rates" errors in the OBS Log File Analyzer because my Recording tab had the sample rate set at 44100 Hz still. Once both were 48000 Hz, the error disappeared from my Log File Analysis.

I would say my advice is to find an app for your Yeti mic and see if it will allow you to adjust the sample rate inside there. Or maybe research if it's even capable of 48000 Hz or if it's limited to only 44100 Hz (in which case you'll always have a mismatch unless you are able to get everything at 44100 Hz).

Hope this helps (and hopefully I have even fixed it for myself)!

Yeah I've made sure the sound settings in windows are good, and I know the mic works at 48000 cause it's perfectly fine in Audacity. I may get an external mixer app to force it in there, because I'm at a deadlock with it right now just using the Yeti direct through OBS.
