Question / Help Game Audio Goes Out Of Sync

There's this strange issue on OBS Multiplatform that every recording I do, I use multiple tracks by the way, my game audio is always out of sync, so I have to go through and fix it manually but scrubbing through and finding where it drops out, but my microphone audio is always perfectly in sync, so I'm not quite sure what the issue is..

How does this happen? And how could I go about fixing it?

Thanks!

Any help guys? I keep running into the same issue.. Seems to be only recordings over 30ish minutes though.

This should be it, I have 3 instances of OBS open when I record, cause I use one to stream, one to record my webcam, and one for the game. i think this is the right one.

Don't suppose you could test with just one copy of OBS running? Three at once sounds like a recipe for problems.

Is it only a specific VB-Audio virtual device that's crapping out? Want to make sure I'm reading your log and posts correctly.

It's just my game audio that desyncs, which is technically under one of the cables I guess, though it's the default VB VoiceMeeter VAIO that will go out of sync. I was going to test it by recording with Audition as well to see if it's OBS' fault or for another reason.. but i haven't been able to do that yet

I do not have a log to contribute but with multiple audio tracks I have the same issue with long recordings. I have a Virtual Audio Cable for my Microphone, but that is not what is falling out of sync. The game audio itself(which is on a real physical interface) fell out of sync over time. By the end of 3 hours it was over a second out of sync, whereas none of the other devices were(VOIP is on a separate output device from game + my microphone).

Just to say that it can be normal to have 1 second time drift for 3 hours on 2 streams recording, if these streams are not synchronized. Every audio device (and audio sources) are driven by its own clock, and recording them on hours can show a time difference of one or more seconds... It is one reason why i developed Voicemeeter: to synchronize several audio sources and be able to send them (mixed or not) to several audio devices or audio applications...
