I am trying to get the obs to work similar to the way I did it over 2 years ago on 1920 x 1080 settings.

I put cancas at 2560x1600 and im trying to get it to work, also i have the nvidia display settings set to main gpu. When i got it friday it was set to integrated.

I can post images later on in comments on how i have it set.

I just want my games to record in 1440 at the least if 2560x1600 dont work....

I tried setting it up the same way i remember with 1080 settings except canvas and reso is higher....

Please help?!!!????

It's not clear what is wrong for you in the first place. At least not for me. What is the actual issue you're having? "Don't work" is not enough as description.

I posted the screen captures of what I'm trying to to do above and the video test I uploaded to youtube explains the outcome...

I am trying to get obs to record my games in 2560x 1600 instead of default settings or 1920x1080.

I can't seem to figure out why its showing smaller screen in output under source?????

I just updated this but I'm not sure if the setting set to let windows decide was the issue....

all the attachments I put above shows it being set. I provided all the screenshot pictures for all to see on my system, about 5 post worth of screen capture of OBS settings.

When someone gets around to seeing what I have set and figure it out for me, I'll be waiting for a reply.

is your issue that your recorded game occupies just the top left corner of the resulting video, in 1920x1080 size, while the rest of the 2560x1600 canvas stays black?

In this case it's probably because you run your game in true fullscreen mode, set in the game options to resolution 1920x1080. If you run your game, it switches to 1920x1080, and this is what OBS records. You need to switch your game in the game options to 2560x1600 as well, so OBS will capture video with the full screen size.

The scroll bars on the preview image and the % of zoom cut.
It's needed an image showing the preview at 100%. For what you can see looks like the source it's shorter than the canvas.

I think I figured out how to get it.
I changed the obs settings under system>display>graphics and then later on after trying different games,
I clicked on fade 300ms

and it centered capturing 2560x1600
