fullscreen/windowed projector (preview) displaying static image when streaming on discord

when i downloaded the newest version of obs (as of May 10th 29.1.1) I wanted to stream a Switch game to my discord buddies, the way I do this is:

1. use a capture card to get the live footage from the switch,
2. make that a video capture device source for video and an audio source for audio
3. full/window screen preview
4. go to discord and stream the preview, with little to no problems.

except for what happened today, turns out the stream according to my friends is a static screen of the preview shot of the monitor screen before you stream on discord. the full screen projector on my monitor works fine, I just can't seem to stream it anymore. I have looked online and all I found was to turn off admin for obs and that didn't work. any suggestions?

So I managed to solve the problem even if it doesn't make sense to me. I fully deleted the newest update and installed an older version of obs that I had on my computer. Using obs version 27.2.1 is allowing me to stream the video to discord.
