Full black screen when starting OBS

Hi all, I am having a new experience with my 2021 built new Macbook Pro - when starting OBS, the whole screen goes black (I see the green light of my webcam being switched on though). After terminating the app via COMMAND-Q (i would be typing without seeing anything), the screen goes back to normal.

I should say that i also deleted the whole OBS installation (via AppCleaner) and hoped that a maiden installation would fix the problem - but it did not.

I could also add that OBS worked until a couple of days ago. I was not doing much, just adding a bg video and the webcam, to create a nice MS Teams videofeed for telcos.

Since I can not see anything I type, the only thing i can check is my console logfile:

Edit - the last resort i could do was pressing the power button for a few seconds. My comp completely restarted, and then restored the interrupted sessions. I discovered that OBS was still running prior to my shutdown (obviously), and i could enter the HELP menu, so here is my logfile:

I'm having the same problem with my macbook 16 inch. The display is not captured and I have to remove display capture and add it again for each session.
