Question / Help Frustration with basics

I'm having increasing difficulty convincing myself that I have not lost my mind. I'm trying to record simply with OBS studio. I'll attach a log.
I still seem to find no way to go from a title screen graphic to active desktop with Word maximized so that I can give a demonstration. I have spent another 45 minutes combing the manual, trying to find out how to disable graphics acceleration in Word, which a responder told me I need to do to show Word in a window capture. Meanwhile, if I start recording the title graphic and then switch to display capture, I then record myself minimizing OBS. DO I really have to use a video editor to edit this out? I can't believe that's true. There must be some way to avoid this.
Help, please.

Disable graphics acceleration in Word 2016/2019/365:
  • start Word, don't open/create any document
  • Bottom left corner, click Options
  • Left pane, click Advanced
  • Scroll down to Display section
  • Find "disable hardware graphics acceleration"
  • Exit and restart Word
I don't want to be a wisecrack, but it took me not even 1 minute to find by searching Google for "word disable hardware graphics acceleration". I didn't even had to click some link - Google showed the steps right away as result.

Thank you, Koala. It's no wisecrack, and I deserve the note, because I am an MS Certified Word Expert adn spend my working days using Word in a business setting. I looked through Advanced the other day before asking that -- it my first thought -- but had never seen it before and somehow missed it again this time. Therefore, I assumed that it must be something in OBS. I am grateful for your replies.
