Having a bad time.
Trying to record Arma 3 Gameplay to be uploaded to YouTube. Not streaming, so I have it set to recording only.
When playing Arma without recording, I can crank up the settings pretty high and run about experiencing no lag consistently above 60 FPS. Usually between 80-120 actually.
Even with OBS recording, my frames while playing seem to be pretty consistent.
OBS is my main recording software so I'd like to be able to use it for Arma as well, but it seems the recordings themselves are coming out with skipped frames. This causes the video quality to be.. although clear 1080p... quite out of synch visually, with lots of freezing and stuttering (Audio is fine).
I've tried both CBR with a high bitrate (tried like 30,000) and I've tried my preferred CQP Rate control at 26, 28, and 30.
I have even adjusted priority in control panel to put OBS up to high and the game up to above normal.
Nothing I do seems to work.
