Frames Missed Due to Rendering Lag & Extreme FPS Dips

On each game I play (most recently testing Phantasy Star Online 2 & Tony Hawk Pro Skater 1+2) I experience immense fps loss in game while using OBS (while streaming & while the program is open. With PSO2 & THPS 1+2 I experience loss of 40+ FPS with each game. Wasn't occuring previously. Attempted a new driver install using DDU, attempted rebuilding my layout & alerts etc, reinstalled OBS & plugins as well.

Previously was showing spikes randomly from 20% to as high as 50% with OBS open but that issue has been resolved but I cannot resolve the issue with FPS loss. I understand it won't run the same as with OBS closed but I have never experienced FPS issues like this with OBS.

if anyone can assist it would be greatly appreciated

i uninstalled avast. turned off the game bar but I did not see an option for game DVR. Windows Update says my machine has no updates available. Changed the base resolution & updated the bios. . . due to the location of my streaming computer I cant change the wifi thing but still the same issue as far as fps being lower

THPS it has a built in fps counter so i saw was still losing about the same amount of frames (even before i started streaming), PSO2NGS was just extremely choppy & fsr didn't help it (couldn't tell the actual fps count without the game bar). also when obs is running my gpu usage normally never goes above 80% but when its closed it always uses 90+%

You have dropped frames due to insufficient bandwidth/connection.
Dropped Frames And General Connection Issues
If it's not your IPS, use TwitchTest to find a server that has good connection for you.

1. Activate Game Mode.
2. Disable Game Bar and DVR.
3. For your media sources try to enable restart on activate and close when inactive.
You can also try to play your games in windowed mode and put OBS process priority as High in Settings>Advanced.
