Question / Help Framerate issue with OBS Studio

Hi everyone!
When I try to record at 1080p60FPS without downscaling on the NVIDIA NVENC codec my framerate isn't a consistant 60, it usually drops to around 30FPS while in-game. This is really annoying because I always end up with a 30FPS video that sometimes goes to 40. I don't see how this can be a hardware limitation because if I record with shadowplay my FPS Is consistant at 60 but I don't really want to record with shadowplay because I just find OBS to be better. Im recording to a second harddrive by the way.

Any help would be appreciated.

My CPU and GPU:
i5 6600
EVGA GeForce GTX 970 SSC

Thanks for the reply but I just figured it out, turned out it had something to do with the place of the OBS Studio window. I usually had it on my second screen running on my iGpu but when I moved it to my other screen which is running on my main GPU it just straight up worked with consistant 60FPS. It is stupid of me that I haven't figured this out in all the time i've been using OBS Studio.....

You should probably connect both screens to your main GPU.
