Hello,
I've been streaming a little bit longer now, but my OBS Studio settings just bother me.
I am currently using VBR which is working fine (and my game drops 20-30 to nearly no fps), but when trying to use CBR my game just keeps dropping more than 40fps (unplayable).
This is my current hardware:
CPU: Intel® Core™ i3-4330 Processor 3.50GHz
GPU: Gainward Nvidia GTX 560 Ti 1.5GB
RAM: 8GB Corsair XMS3 DDR3-1600
Software:
Windows 7 Professional
OBS Studio
My Internet-Speed:
And those are my current OBS settings:
Output
Audio Track: 1
Encoder: x264
Enforce streaming service encoder settings: unticked
Rescale Output: unticked
Rate Control: VBR
Bitrate: 2000
Use Custom Buffer size: ticked
Buffer Size: 2005
CRF: 20
Keyframe Interval: 2
CPU Preset: veryfast
Profile: none
Tune: none
VFR: unticked
x264 Options: blank
Video
Base Res.: 1280x720
Output Res.: 1280x720
Downscale Filter: Bilinear
FPS: 30
Disable Aero: unticked
*EDIT
I use Game-Capture to capture my game (then stretch it since I am playing 4:3)*
When not streaming I get 90-120fps ingame and when streaming, I usually get the same or about 80-100.
Those settings are working fine for me, but I've never used VBR before so I don't know how it looks on Stream.
When using CBR, Bitrate 2000, Buffer-Size 2005 and everything else being the same, I get around 60fps and those drop to 30-40 + I get huge lag spikes. Does anyone know how I could fix that or why this happens?
