Im new to streaming tried it a lil a while ago, and just got a new computer so i decided to dip into it again. I downloaded OBS Studio watched a few guides on optimizing settings and my first attempt i was dropping like 40% of my frames. Read up a bunch and stumbled across several people describing a similar problem but expressing better results on version 0.15.4. I then downloaded this version and i have seen improvements. Im dropping 12% frames now but i still would like to get to the botttom of this as i just built an expensive PC. By the way game feels great no lag or frame drop what so ever. CPU readout on bottom right of obs is always low.

My cpu: i7 6700k @ 4.8ghz
Internet speed: 30down/5up

Log File: https://gist.github.com/e31122720a8a7acb30af0e2bf84bd9ac (this is what it gave me when i said export, i dont know how to save it and upload)

I will provide any additional information needed. Thank you.

Hi,

checking the log its showing "Output 'adv_stream': Number of lagged frames due to rendering lag/stalls: 70 (1.7%)" which although isn't perfect shouldn't give you any issues. Have you tried lowering the CPU preset from fast to ultra fast? if not can you also and report back.

Can you post another log when streaming and also have you run the twitch bandwidth tool? if so can you post the results.

Thanks

I thought CPU preset was determined based on your processor speed. I have an i7 6700k overclocked to 4.8ghz. I did end up downloading classic tho and am now dropping under or around 1% frames now. Most of those are from switching between window mode and full screen. Not sure what the problem was but it can be traced to one studios.
