Question / Help FPS issues while recording locally (SOLVED

Hello! I'm recently getting into recording again and OBS was my recorder of choice before I stopped, and now i am using it once again. I've been fiddling with the settings for the past couple hours but I keep having this one issue. OBS refuses to record my games at anything higher than 27 fps. I am pretty certain that it isn't my system messing up, since it's practically brand new so I'm wondering what I could be doing wrong or how to fix it.

System specs:
  • Asus Maximus IX Hero Motherboard
  • Intel Core i7-770K CPU running at 4.2GHz
  • 2x4Gb (8Gb) RAM
  • ZOTAC GTX 1050 ti
  • 2x2Tb HHD (not using raid) and 250Gb SSD
  • 1000W EVGA PSU
I can play the games perfectly fine, even with recording, but the recording just wont do past 27 fps when I'm playing. Sitting in a game menu I might get 35 fps but that's nothing to the 80-90 that I'm actually playing at.

And of course attached is the log from the most recent test recording.

Edit: I also noticed it's just the games that do this. I can record a browser or other window at a decent 60-70 fps.

Edit2: Lowering game quality slightly raised recording fps greatly.
