I have played around with different settings but a consistent poor FPS seems to occur in all streams and recordings I make. I have tried 1280x720, 1680x1050, 1920x1080 - all at 60 fps. But I am seeing a consistent lower fps in the resulting stream or recording on all of them. I would have thought that the 1920x1080 would have far worse FPS issue but that is not the case. It seems consistent on all of them.

Can someone help me identify if there's anything I can do to remedy this? I don't mind have a lower quality/resolution stream so long as the FPS is smooth.

I have uploaded one log text file which contains all three stream logs (1280x720, 1680x1050, 1920x1080). You can also see the streams here:

1280x720 - https://www.twitch.tv/videos/1007146878
1680x1050 - https://www.twitch.tv/videos/1007146115
1920x1080 - https://www.twitch.tv/videos/1007148350

Thank you for your help!

I found out what the problem was. Window Capture is bugged in OBS when on MacOS. You need to use Display Capture to get a good frame rate on MacOS
