Hey there,

I want to use OBS for recording/streaming some CS:GO. When i open OBS and go into CS i have massive frame drops when OBS is running. Only running not recording/streaming! When OBS is running my FPS are very unstable with ups and downs.

I don´t think its a hardware problem, but here are my specs:

CPU: i7 4770
GPU: GTX 1080 (had this problem with GTX 970 too)
RAM: 16 GB
SSD where OS and OBS are installed
1TB HDD where captures are saved
1TB HDD for my games

I would appreciate any kind of help! :)

First part of troubleshooting for me is to check the CPU usage in task manager, just to check if the CPU is getting maxed out because it looks like you're using x264. And if that is high, consider using a different encoder (such as quicksync of NVENC).

Next is to save your profiles and such and do an total fresh reinstall. Delete everything and download the latest release.

Might not work, but worth a shot!

CPU usage is at ~50%. I have x264 for the streaming encoder, but I got the drops even without streaming.
Fresh install didn´t work. :(

Says you have a memory leak. Also, can you do a 30 second stream, shutdown obs, then reopen and upload last log then post it? Let's us analyze it.
