I am using OBS to stream basketball games at our high school and I have been for several years. I am using an Elgato camlink to bring in our camera feed and I am streaming at 1080p 30fps. For the most part, our streams have been smooth, but when I open Google Chrome to try and search something, my FPS drops to 25-26 and I start getting frames missed/skipped due to encoding/rendering lag. I have nothing else open on my computer except OBS and the elgato streamdeck software, and both obs and my task manager tell me that my cpu usage is about 8%. I know that I'm not overloading my cpu or gpu, but I am at a loss for answers. I really need to be able to access Google just to be able to search for stats and things like this while I am streaming. Does anybody have any ideas what could be causing this?
