Question / Help FPS Drops to 30 When Tabbed Out?

Hi. I use gamecapture so I can tab out of games while I am still steaming. The thing is when I tab out of my game (Rainbow Six Siege for example) it drops down to 30 frames.
When I tab back in, the game goes back to its normal 144fps.

I have an i7700k and a gtx1080ti, and run off a ssd. ~.~

This occurs with or without OBS active, but I figure this may be a common problem for streamers so I went to this forum.

This can have two reasons:

• The game has a low-power-background mode which could be turned off.
• Windows is actively pushing the game lower so that the new foreground application has more time to work. (Game Mode for example does this)
