Question / Help FPS Drops and screen tearing. Please help

I have just started the streaming thing and have looked at tutorials on YT about OBS Studio and the settings and such. When i click the Start Streaming button my in game FPS counter doesn't drop but i can see that I get FPS drops and major screen tearing to the point that it is unplayable. It doesn't happen when I just preview but when I start streaming it does.

It could be something with your monitor. Try running OBS as an administrator and if you have a 64bit system, run 64.

If you're not using NVENC, try that. Don't use CPU for recording/streaming. These are my personal preferences.

EDIT 2: I see you have sharpen on video capture. Try taking that off.

it wont let me change the video adapter. is there something im doing wrong?
Also, it doesn't happen in the game menu only once i load a map and start playing

Are you using game capture? Be sure you use that when recording a game and desktop or window for other.
