Question / Help FPS 0, says encoder is overloaded but CPU usage 10% or under

Hello,

As the title states, I'm dealing with issues that I cannot pinpoint right now. I've exhausted the forums for days and read through every tutorial I can think of (specifically the dropped frames). I am not very tech savvy, but an eager learner. I was wondering if anyone would consider looking at my log and telling me what's going on.

I am a performer on Chaturbate, but also live stream on another site and have had the same issue (dropping to 0 FPS, bitrate unstable). This will occur two or three times during a stream. I have AT&T Fiber with an upload and download of 300 mbps.

Thank you for your time and help!

You are using an x264 encoder (processor), use an NVENC graphics card.
There's absolutely no indication of any frames lost due to encoding lag. Switching encoders would not help.

The only indication is that there was automatic bitrate reduction, which indicates network issues -- either from intermittent connection, or you're not able to reach the intended upload bitrate.

Thanks!
I see in the stats that it is a rendering lag. When I use the auto configuration wizard, it recommends a 10000 bitrate. I have been using it at 5000 but changed it to 3000. It seems like my bitrate still wants to jump, not sure about the frame drop because I didn’t stream for long. I ordered a new network card because I heard the killer network cards can cause a lot of issues. So why am I not able to stream at a higher bitrate?

Rendering lag means GPU overload. Changing bitrate will not affect that-- only frame size, frame rate, and other GPU load will.

To see what you are getting on your network connection, use something like TwitchTest.

I think resolved my issue. I was using another monitor. I’m not sure how to configure the settings quite yet so I can still use it, but tonight I was able to stream at a 9000 bitrate with 60 FPS no frames dropped at all. I didn’t use the monitor and it was perfect. Thank you everyone who responded. I will update if any relevant issues occur.
