Question / Help Found a problem when Window Capture program is minimized

Hello, I have a Window Capture source setup for VLC and it still records properly when I minimize VLC but if I check the settings for the Window Capture source while VLC is still minimized to the system tray it will loose the link to it and automatically go to another window I have open, like Outlook or whatever and when I try to fix it by clicking the Window drop down list, VLC is no longer a selection unless I go back out and re-maximize VLC then I can get the Window Capture properties for it again. Why are you trying to window capture vlc to begin with?

I would like to continuously stream my Cuba trip video online for friends and family and when I try to use the built in streaming function in VLC, it works but the loop function does not seem to have any effect so the stream stops but when VLC is set to locally loop then all is fine so I now have to use some screen recording software to do it. Possibly a bug in VLC but I don't think I'll be able to get VLC to fix their program.

Did you try the vlc source in OBS instead?

You would install the version of VLC that matches the bitness of OBS you're running.
