Question / Help FORTNITE IS LAGGY BECAUSE OF OBS

Hello, when I tried to record me playing FORTNITE, the video was lagging the whole time even though I was using Intel Quick sync for my recording preset. I had put the best settings on Fortnite and I do not know why Obs studio lags Fortnite when I record.

Don't blame OBS. You do not have a powerful GPU to play Fortnite.

Fortnite is very GPU intensive. Running it on very weak integrated GPU is your problem. That requires you to turn down in game video settings all the way to low with OBS running with it. Thats going to make the output look ugly, fuzzy, pixelated, laggy to the point where viewers aren't going to want to watch it.

You need to go out and buy a GPU card and disable the integrated GPU from functioning.

A Nvidia GTX 1050Ti or better would help out a lot.

Well, thanks. Now I know that my windows 10 intel i5 core processor 64k sucks. I have Nvidia GeForce 930MX, cant I just download a new NVIDIA version???

If you are using a laptop, there is nothing you can do to fix this problem. Your laptop is not a gaming laptop. This laptop with the integrated GPU is for productivity use. In addition, laptops are terrible for streaming and since they are closed systems, you cannot add a GPU. You are stuck and have to go out and get a better computer, preferrably a desktop with a stronger GPU card.

If you are using a desktop, take my advice I posted above and get yourself a new GPU card.

Don't overthink this.
