Hey guys, recently got myself a new monitor and i really don't want to miss on HDR so i'm always turning it on when playing supported games and it's been great.
I also record gameplays for youtube so it's been quite a problem.
First, i've tried to record directly in HDR, but figured that this isn't really practical, especially for youtube.
Then i recorder my HDR footage in SDR and then tried to color correct in post processing.
I can get quite good results, but when i record this way, i loose too many details and the raw file has all blocky colours and weird quality, that's a no for me aswell.
Then finally, i've found out about the "Force SDR" option on OBS that Tone-Maps automatically the HDR to SDR, that's great, the video quality isn't blocky anymore, it's smooth but there is one very very big issue.
It's so fucking bright, it's over-exposed and i am not sure how to fix this, it's impossible to fix it in post-processing because i loose all the details in white areas, it's just plain white.
Are there any settings where i can adjust the tone-mapping or any plugin?
