Question / Help foobar2000 nowplaying not working anymore ?

Hey guys,

I've been transitionning from the old OBS to the new one, and I don't understand why "read from file" (using a text source) doesn't work using the foobar2000 .txt file created with this method (link).

Read from file just outputs nothing

You aren't alone. I am actually debating if its "read from file" or if its the scroll filter. This started in 0.12.2.

I haven't notice any issues on my end with the scroll filter, and foobar. When are you seeing the issue? If you look at the file it is creating can you see anything in the file? Does foobar have rights aka do you have rights to write to a file where it is saving it?

That's odd, I've tried implementing this today to try again, and it worked.

I realize maybe the issue was coming from the fact I was using OBS32 and not OBS64 !

I have recreated my now-playing scrolling text several times, and it always goes back to being empty after a while. I am now looking into using nodecg to completely make a GUI so that everything is populated using the browser extension. BTW there seems to be another post on this same issue:
