Bug Report Focusrite Saffire devices and OBS on 10.15

Hi there,

I've been directed here by Streamlabs.

I'm writing from Focusrite support regarding an issue raised by some of our customers using Saffire interfaces on Mac OS 10.15.

Although OBS and Streamlabs OBS can take input from other programs they seem to be unable to receive input from the Saffire interfaces (seen with multiple models all using the same driver).

The same setups see that the Saffire can successfully input to other pieces of some software.

HOping a developer can take a look at this one and get back to me.

Best regards,

Hello,
I've just been fighting this problem for the last 6 hours with my Scarlett 2i4

It's turned out that in the Security and Privacy in Settings OBS had not been ticked to be granted permission to use the OSX microphone.

I ticked it... and now all mic inputs are working.

Have your other users checked this?

Kind regards,

James

Hi there,

This post specifically concerns Saffire as it uses a separate driver. The Clarett USB and Scarlett devices are class-compliant, they just use Core Audio. @digitackled I would expect the Clarett to work irrespective of the issue I am posting about.

We checked the privacy settings. Worth noting that another input source worked when the Saffire did not, but the Saffire worked in other applications.
