Flickering OBS with Facebook Live Producer

Hello, I'm using OBS with facebook live producer and having issues with fkickering. There are no problems, when OBS has started the stream with facebook stream key. But when I go live on facebook, there will be a flickering every 2 Minutes or so, for very short time.

Here are some details of the setup:
  • For streaming is used a HP Laptop 2.6 gHz AMD with 8 GB Ram and Windows 10.
  • The CPU percentage in OBS does not go over 25 %, there is no other software running in the background.
  • As source I'm using a RGB Link
  • The internet connection is VDSL with 40 MBit upload
  • The used resolution is 1289x720 p50...as in the Facebook live profile of OBS is set.
There a no problems with flickering, when OBS gets the source from RGB Link Mini without streaming.

Maybe somebody has the same issues and can give some suggestions?

Best regard, Frank

Please be more specific about the model CPU
real-time video encoding is VERY computationally demanding.

Sorry, what is a RGB link? do you mean the old school analog video signal multi-cable setup? If yes, then you may be using such a cable, BUT from a technical standpoint, something (a capture card?) is converting that analog signal to digital. We need that info
As for upload bandwidth... what is important is not the spec, but actual sustained available bandwidth to your PC (ie anything else at home using the ISP connection, and neighbor or otherwise on your WiFi, etc)

And 1289x720 p50 - guessing EU... over here our standard livestream setting, per Facebook is 1280x720 30fps [typically encoding is set for compute devices, vs TVs with device clients negotiating for other rates if need be]

And what do you mean, specifically, by flickering?
Have you tried recording locally with OBS (vs streaming) and check your local recording? that shoudl help narrow down whether a settings/resource issue locally, or a bandwidth/jitter issue
