Fixing audio sync when not streaming, just previewing

Hi, supper thankful for this help.

I plan on sharing my screen for presentation, using Linux G7 camera going in to Blackmagic 3G and a mic going through a usb audio interface.

I saw several videos on how to delay the audio, because the audio is processed faster,

The question is, and please remember I will not be streaming, simply sharing my screen When I delay the audio in the advance audio properties, I do not see a difference,
This supper important, who do I sync the audio in OBS when I am sharing the computers screen
Again, I really appreciate the help

We had the same kind of problem, not streaming and then the syncing had no effect.
We used the headphone output of the laptop to output the audio.
This has to be set in the settings (audio: monitoring device) & in audio mixer: advanced audio properties : 'Monitor and output'
We are using a plugin for the audio delay: "VST 2.x Plug-in" : "readelay-standalone".
