EDIT 2: Fixed, somehow.
I've never had much of a frame problem with OBS until I got my new computer. The framerate is fine when recording, but streaming is another story. My viewers have reported that my streams became like freeze-frames every 3-5 seconds, making the framerate less than 1fps and streaming basically pointless. My audio is still in real-time however.
I'm awful at understanding all the technicalities of OBS, so I know very little of how to adjust my quality properly. I've tried to adjust it, but nothing seems to change my stream framerates. If anyone can tell me what settings to put these on in order for my streams to properly run, that'd be fantastic.
This is on an old hunk-of-junk Macbook- it's the best I can afford. Here's my specs:
Mid-2012 Macbook Pro
OSX Mojave 10.14.3
4GB Memory

EDIT: Magically my OBS streams are now running at a consistent 30fps. What on earth.
