Wait a sec....
I've never used anything but OBS studio...and I can monitor my game/headphone sounds from my PC speakers. But I do it by either going with"direct sound" or "waveout." Those are the only options I have found without using an external mixer that give me the sound I'm streaming over my PC. HOWEVER....because I've been battling with the audio since day one, I recommend (if you haven't already done so) that you start your stream and then go monitor it from your PC on the web. I have found this the most effective way to make sure that the audio is balanced and that it looks right. If you are recording instead of streaming, then do a test run, watch it, and see if the audio is there. I will tell you that I have learned that there are 3 different audio setting groups that you need to make sure all line up: the settings on your PC, the settings in the Elgato software & the settings in OBS. I recommend starting with the PC settings & checking everything audio (including drivers because mine didn't update automatically, even though I have them set to do so), then go on to Elgato software, and finally OBS. make sure the path is correct. I very well may write a little booklet for this situation after my own experience. If only one thing is set to send audio down the wrong path, you will end up with issues to drive you crazy...best of luck!!
