Schauerland, I agree with you...I don't game, I just stream my webcam and a personal weather station..
I first started with OBS a few years ago, then went to Xslpit Premium and had nothing but bad support from them..It would take days and days to get a support question answered....So I ended back with OBS and saved a 100.00 a year..

OBS is a good program, a lot of hard work went into it...Too bad others don't appreciate what they are getting for free far exceeds other programs that you have to pay for.

This thread is here since a week. And bug is not solved in the newest updates. This is why i am pissed off AND IF you are on my place and WASTE 5 HOURS OF SETUP for something you want to record and find out it wasnt recorded you will also be pissed off for that I am sure! If it doesnt want to record always what's the use of it? Better find a better tool even if PAID but to know I wont waste hours of setup for only to get corrupted 810kb file. So my anger is big when I waste 5 hours of setup. I thank all the devs here for what they do but I cant be happy when things like this happen and are not solved.

Lmao. Read my reply again. My last reply will answer your reply and tantrum clearly.

Again as many staff have already said.. You haven't even tried recording in your logs.

Hello Fam! I have to say that i love OBS, it´s THE option at the moment, you are doing an amazing job and we love you all.
That said, our angry friend is right. there is something that does the software crash and save 1kb files (randomly) when stoping the record. Right now i am using OBS in windows 11 and RHEL9 at the same time 24/7... Antivirus in windows is not installed and windows defender is all OFF, SE in linux is in permissive mode. My hardware is not a problem: 32gb ram, ryzen 5 4000 series, new motherboard and plenty of free space. edit: actually in windows i use a surface 7 pro, should be good enought to record at 720 (as i do in windows), and in fact, it´s working well the 70% of the time lol
As i am a noob with this program, i have everything in automatic/optimal... In linux i had the issue just once i would say but, in windows, it´s crazy! 3 out of 10 times i got a junk record. And nope, we can´t know if it will fail until we stop the recording process.
I have no idea at all on how to get proper logs, i guess you would need debug logs? can we get those in windows? I would be glad to post any info that would help solve this issue. As i am going to record the whole week, it will be easy.

Please, can someone point me in the good direction to proceed? of course while i check the documentation.
