First steps with OBS - recording MS Access - Some windows are invisible in the recorded video

Hello,
I have been using OBS since yesterday and am enthusiastic about these options. I would like to use it to create small tutorial videos. I recently learned Microsoft Access using books and YT videos. Unfortunately, the YT videos are all far away from the topics I need and all for so long. Therefore, I would like to create short tutorials myself, which then serve as a reference works.

I work with MS Access and record some orders in short videos. To do this, I use the setting "Window Recording". But OBS records only the main window? What do I do wrong? Which setting do I have to do so that all windows are recorded? Unfortunately, I didn't find any help.

Thank you for your help!
Greetings

That's correct, Windows capture will only record the main app window. Never any dialog window, not even menus popping up.

You need display capture to capture additional windows and menus of the app. You might need to crop the task bar to remove it from display capture. The most easy way is to hold down the ALT key, then drag one of the border handles to the inside to move the border for cropping instead of scaling down the whole source. A border becomes green to indicate the crop.
