First few seconds of game capture black during playback

I just switched from saving as mp4 to saving as mkv. I did a game capture and started recording when the game was full screen, and ended the the recording when the game was in full screen. For some reason, the first few seconds of the playback were a black screen but the game audio was playing. And I know it has something to do with me changing to the mkv file format because mp4 did not do that. I’m not gonna get into why I switched file formats. just noticed the same has started happening to me, always been mkv, but now the first 3 seconds are black screen
